Through a ritual, they learn about a man who once conquered the Freedom Fighters’ territory. Janet’s friend Krylar offers them refuge on his yacht when the Freedom Fighters are attacked by Kang’s forces, led by Darren Cross (David Dastmalchian), now known as MODOK.
When Scott makes a deal with Kang to retrieve the Multiverse Engine Core, Janet reveals a startling truth. Kang, a scientist exiled to the Quantum Realm, once sought her help to rebuild his Multiverse Power Core. In a selfless act, Janet sabotaged Kang’s plans after witnessing visions of his destructive actions across the timelines. Her actions accidentally banished Kang to the Quantum Realm.
As Ant-Man, Scott shrinks into the Multiverse Power Core, with the assistance of the Wasp. Kang, angered by their defiance, steals the Power Core and kidnaps Janet while MODOK crashes Pym’s ship.
Kang outlines his origins and his plans to challenge the Kang Council for exileing him. Cassie, with the help of the Freedom Fighters, rallies the residents of Axia against Kang.
