Marvel officially announced the production of ‘The Marvels’ following the successful release of ‘Captain Marvel’ in 2019. The upcoming film showcases a talented ensemble cast. Director of ‘The Marvels’

Nia DaCosta, the first Black woman to direct a Marvel film, takes the helm of ‘The Marvels.’ Her previous work, ‘Candyman’ (2021), shattered records as the highest-grossing film by a Black female director in the domestic box office.

DaCosta received high praise from Brie Larson, who commended her for her clear vision and exceptional storytelling abilities.

Filming Commencement

Principal photography for ‘The Marvels’ commenced in August 2021, as confirmed by Larson. The production concluded in November, with various team members sharing the news on social media.

In February 2023, Marvel revealed the official poster featuring Monica Rambeau, Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel), and Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) with the tagline, “Higher. Further. Faster. Together.”

Trailers

In April, Marvel Studios delighted fans with a teaser trailer that brought together Captain Marvel (Larson), Ms. Marvel (Vellani), and Parris from ‘WandaVision’ for an exciting new adventure. A full-length trailer was released in July 2023, giving us a sneak peek into the brave efforts of the heroic trio, alongside the formidable Kree leader Dar-Benn (Ashton), as they fight to save the universe.

Release Date

‘The Marvels’ had a few release date changes. Initially scheduled for February 17, 2023, it later swapped dates with ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ due to production progress. The official poster then unveiled a new release date of November 10, 2023.
